It’s getting close! There’s a lot going on in preparation for the festival on Nov. 1. Here’s how you can help:
- Time to purge your cupboards — look for “white porcupines,” the “prickly small household items” that you no longer use/need but are still in very good condition or working order. Gather them up and bring them to church the last week of October.
- Also needed: jewelry you no longer wear and can part with. Those contributions can start coming in now.
- Volunteer your time: a signup sheet is posted in the Parish Hall for opportunities to help with the festival. We will need help the week before with setting up and pricing, and the day of with sales, and later with cleanup. Almost everything needs to be ready to go by the end of Thursday since Friday night is Halloween!
- The Rebecca Guild invites the congregation to bake goodies (cakes, pies, cookies, candy, etc.) for the baked goods table. Please deliver items to the church on Fri., Oct. 31, from 10 AM to 4 PM or on Sat., Nov. 1, by 10 AM. Please have items wrapped in plastic wrap, or if cookies/candy in plastic bags (preferably six pieces per bag). Please label items and note if contains nuts. Contact Beverly Grizzard with questions.
